All AA&E loads are not hazardous, such as weapon and other secured loads that requie DDPS. You would be surprised how many open deck loads are secured loads.

Depends on what type of job you are wanting? Owner operators need to speak with Baggett. Company drivers should choose between TSMT and R&R out of Joplin Mo. R&R is a offshoot of TSMT and may be bigger at this time. The clearance's work as mentioned above. The secret clearances are step one. With neither of you having one you will only be allowed to haul hazmat, and FAK (freight of All Kinds) until one of you is granted a secret clearance. At that time you will be allowed to haul AA&E. The second applicant will ride in the truck on what they call a interim secret clearance. Basically they've been granted a NACI but are awaiting their secret interview and approval. I will stop here. If you have credit problems that you are not attempting to fix, felony record, or history of violence you may want to save yourself the time and effort of filling out the 132 page clearance application. Basically anything that might make you willing to sell gov property, or that could be used to blackmail into doing so you will weigh heavily in the clearance being granted. Is it worth all this, I'd say yes. The doors and additional clearances that open up for you after taking this first step are amazing. Good luck.
