Tell em to take their job and shove it. You're not interested in their crap no matter how much it pays. How much are you worth to yourself and your family? 1000? 2000? Etc etc.

I used a progressive agent. ill tell you 1 thing about proggressive. when they say all agents will give the same rate DO NOT BELIEVE THEM!
$12300 a year, but keep in mind my truck is insured for $104,000.
Funny how ooida insurance raised my rate 15% last month. they made up a 29 years old and under rule to charge me more. f'em!landstar8891 Thanks this. -
That is for $1million liability and $100,000 cargo

To the OP, I've only been a member on here for a little while, and don't have the experience you state in your profile, so you can take what im about to say as you wish....But I have noticed over the past couple months your posts on here seem to be a little more on the negative side. And I would believe its has to do with you not being totally happy doing this run. You stated your family and friends noticed a change, and in my opinion, that's a recipe for disaster. When a person is no longer happy at work, it will carry over into your life at home...I was kinda in the same position a few years ago. I had a great paying job, great benefits and so on. But I wasn't happy there. It began taking its toll elsewhere in my life, right up until I quit and started driving for a living, for less money...What did I learn? I learned that there's no substitute for having a job that you enjoy and thus, being happy. You only have so much time in life, why not be happy? At the end of the day, money does not buy happiness does it? Once you begin doing what you enjoy, the money follows.....Good luck in whatever ya decide.

I went thru a period where the wife really wanted me to be home more so I took a shorter haul dedicated run. Decent money but I always had run long haul and liked it. Well, after about 8 months when she realized I still wasn't really "home" very much- 15-18 hour days just long enough to sleep and shower, weekends working on the truck etc, she said maybe the old 10-14 days out and then stay home for 4-5 days was actually better. I really liked making 2 week runs and then when I got home, I was home. Tuned out work completely and just did my own thing. Trucking is a tough life any way you do it so a long winded way of saying do what makes you happier

I didn't read read your post - it was too short but you can buy your own truck and be an OO did you know and you have to file the papers you are concerned about the proper authority when you are out of hours.
