You guys realize Walmart is the largest trucking company in the country right? To expect them not to have an accident or a driver make a mistake is ridiculous! You guys sound like people that don't stand a snowballs chance of ever getting on there so you nitpick and cling to whatever makes you feel better about yourself. Whether you would accept the job or not is 1 thing but to say they wouldn't even be on your short list says nothing about them and everything about you. Even though you guys wouldn't accept the job I dare you to try and get accepted there, but where you work I bet I could get hired tomorrow!

According to Walmarts site they have 6,500 tractors and 55,000 trailers according to ups.com they have 5,919 tractors and 20,021 trailers. Regardless when you get to that many trucks the point is the same!

You're forgetting all the package cars, as they call their delivery vans. That's part of trucking, too!

Hey Swift, been there, done that and got the jacket to prove it. Your really out of your wheelhouse here and your going to end up looking like a fool. Why dont you get the job then come back and show your Walmart kitty whiskers. Im not the only driver with a few better than Walmart jobs on my resume.

WOW, 2 and a half billion miles trucked by UPS last year. That is incredible. Either company has the inspection results most companies only dream of. The only difference is you can be a Walmart truck driver tomorrow, or you can be a UPS truck driver in 20 years after you work your way up from being an unloader working 3-4 hours a day.

I ran a route during Christmas rush for them years ago, but the next year had a sure thing lined up elsewhere and they couldn't tell me if I'd get on after New Year's. So I went with the sure thing. Besides that, don't know if I could have learned to bleed brown...
