Well I completed training at Sun Coast earlier this week. During training I was working 14-15 hours per day. I don't think there was a single day I didn't work at least 13 hours.

Every day was at a 20 foot well and the vapors + the heat made for a miserable experience. Of course I have to take into account that I was learning. Being taught is a time consuming thing and I am not in the shape was in 30 years ago. But I got through it and am in better shape and better acclimated to the weather in south TX.

Since I tested out all my loads have been either from a LACT or a Frac Tank. So much easier. During training every load delivered to a refinery where I had to unload at a lact or manually pump off. Now every load has gone to a refinery that unloads for me. I sit in an air conditioned shack while somebody else does the unloading.

On top of the easy work I make more money now that I am off training pay. Life is getting better. Usually a 12 hour day.

Congrats. It is always an adventure when we are in the learning stage. After that as you now know it is getting better. Wish you well.

It wasn't really hard but they do check every little detail of your application. It was time consuming. I have been meeting guys with very little experience so they do hire rookies.

That's good to hear. Glad y'all are staying busy. I only delivered to a refinery once and as you said, it's a pretty sweet gig to hang out while someone unloads your trailer.

Glad you made it. Now you can run your own ship to some extent. Sun Coast just laid off 160 drivers in DFW area. They were hauling finished prods like gas/diesel. Keenan got their 7/11 contract. Couple came to work for us. Couple of others didn't last. They liked hourly pay instead of commission. You should do well down in that area. Lots of oil going to be found for next 10-20 yrs.

Sun Coast has two divisions. Condensate and main stream. Main stream is the fuel hauling division. They have been laying off drivers. But the ones who go to fracing sites make the big bucks. They stay on site for weeks and get paid 24 hrs per day.

Right now it seems Corpus condensate is keeping very busy and are hiring more drivers for the night shift.
