Any new info on Vitran?

Yeah it will end up getting merged like FedEx Freight and National did after they run the numbers. When they acquired PJax I believe they stated they would remain separate too.

Wasn't Vitran still strictly auto parts in the mid-west even as late as like 2002? I remember they were all over the green stamp when I drove otr. The consolidation of ltl outfits generally doesn't end well..

 

matty morons son bought vitran..feel sorry for the drivers...i drove for a moron outfit complete joke. no maintenance, no truck wash and very low wages and poor driver moral. But they expected 110% effort all the time

 

They will be merged together by Jan 2014. Currently a driver for Vitran

 

And how is that going to work? Who keeps what trucks? Because the Internationals from Vitran are a million times better than the destroyed, duct taped, rattle deathtrap Sterlings Central uses in the midwest.

 

Central Transport says their systems analysts and information technology people are going to figure out who and what goes where. Then the operations personnel will execute a smooth transition. Every statement the Morouns have made they seem to do the exact opposite the next day, followed by a apology and " how hard they tried to protect your current status with the company.

 

This is hilarious. A bunch of FXF Redshirts(and higher) jumped to Vitran about a year ago. They might be crawling back soon..........

 

Well maybe if they would pay attention like checking stock quotes and investor news they would have seen it coming but most drivers dont pay attention to anything more than if they get a paycheck at the end of the week

 

I see a lot of us are linehaul drivers on here
