Well now we know what happened. Pretty cut and dry. And Ozark is cleared from any wrongdoing. Not often we get the whole story.

    "we live in our truck"....

First of all its not YOUR TRUCK if you are a company driver.

Second of ......... Ahhh never mind, is this what the industry has become? Mobile homeless shelters for unemployable felons willing to work for $300 for a 70 hour week. I wish I could have seen this coming 25 years ago, I would have stayed in school.

Oh my gosh, we, the Truckers Forum community have NEVER heard a story like this before.

    Really!!

Oh wait, we have heard this same exact story every day, sometimes in first person "I got stopped at the scales in 2009 and the officer found a pound of weed in my truck that another driver left and I didn't know it was there now I can't get a job" or second person "my husband/boyfriend/father/son/cousin/next door neighbor has been a perfect driver for 24 years and oh yeah there was that little cops episode in 2009 where he was busted for maryjane but it wasn't his, honestly, it really wasn't, he's a perfect model driver and knows that maryjane is illegal when dealing with a CDL but now in this modern age where nothing is a secrete he can't get a job"!

To the OP, no one, not one single person should give a split seconds crap that you and your husband are now unemployed, umemployable and homeless based on the fact as stated by you that your model husband is a professional driver of 24 years with a drug charge from 4 YEARS AGO!!

A mistake when he was a 19 year old washing dishes at Denny's and got caught buying weed from the under cover cop is one thing. A person who supposedly has been driving for 24 years and has a 4 year old drug charge is not a mistake, it's the reason why your homeless and unemployed. Your husband made a conscious decision to break the law period, end of story.

I'm not going to go after anyone, but in going to say yhis. 2013-1989=24. Felony charge from 1996. Seven years into a trucking career, 17 years ago. Felony= decent amount of jail time most times. I'm assuming he wasn't a driver during the prison years. 2009 drug conviction, 4 years ago. Be lucky Trans Am had hired him. You guys are homeless and jobless because of your decisions. Not Ozark's. Personal Responsinility. Try it out. And get yourselves back up on your feet. And stay clean and out of trouble.
