And it is working well...They did very well at giving the ''short bus'' children an Adult CDL..mikec265 Thanks this.

That Boehner guy you don't have to even listen what he has to say. He has that look on his face that makes you just want to punch him in the nose and I'm not even a violent person, lol.
I like to see him and Obama duke it out in a ring.Grouch Thanks this. -
There will never be a strike. Never in this country. Not even by 1/20th of the drivers employed in this country. They could have every trucking job filled in a short time with Japanese and Chinese drivers. Seriously.
Business and Politics are true only to each other. Striking/Protesting amounts to nothing but harassment of people who have nothing to do with a whole bunch of truckers who fell for the same tricks that the American Natives did....
I think a protest like to one recently in Maryland/D.C./Virginia was a waste of time, and money. It was so embarrassing even to me. It proved nothing. -
So.. how did this go?
-
U want truckers to get behind something you need to attack one issue that is actually relevant and unjust.....like carb and a cohesive strategy with leadership
Instead you had rejects from alex jones island of misfit toys with issues that were completely spread out with no real leadership and no realistic endgame.....
Now shutting down major arteries in la sacramento and maybe somewhere up north for a week now that might be interesting ......though i wonder if they might just do it tothemselves come jan 1 -
Where you been.We allready have Born And Breed Americans working these trucks for .23 cents a mile..Don't blame the other countries..
-
If they are working for $0.23/mile, I am pretty sure that they are responsible for putting themselves there via bad driving record, wrecks, bad attitudes, and other personal choices that limited their choice of companies.joseph1135 Thanks this.
-
Maybe,Maybe Not..IMO anything less than .43 cents a mile for a ''company'' driver is Robbery...
-
Everyone makes choices in their lives. Many of those choices leads them to their destiny. In this industry poor choices with your driving, as well as criminal behavior will dictate where you can start or continue employment. I wouldn't think it is fair for a driver with a good record gets paid the same as someone with wrecks, tickets, inspection violations and other infractions. Companies will form their business model based on the risk they are willing to assume. I am sure that some of the $0.26/mile companies will take drivers with poor records in exchange for those lower wages, whereas the companies that pay $0.41/mile starting pay will not accept anything less than a stellar record. If you don't consider these dynamics, you will certainly treat good people wrong because you want "everyone" to get a certain wage.
