I also bought a 1/24th scale Semi, just 14" inches long. Had a single sleeper. I wanted more. I worked for it, I got it. 1967 . Bigger one with doors that open today.

If your freightshaker makes you happy and makes you money more power to you driver. My girl told me 2 weeks ago I needed to buy a Volvo to save fuel so I could make more money. I told here my Pete was there before her and itll be here long after she's gone and if she EVER said something like that again she could pack her #### and get out. I make enough to satisfme her...that's another story that's personal and I won't get into. There's an old saying I grew up on. If the bills are paid, there's food on the table, and the family has been provided for at the end of the month, and your happy but don't have much money left over don't let anybody tell you that you're poor or broke because your ### took care of business. I make enough to support what I have. I don't need more money, if I made more I'd spend more and end up getting myself into a whole mess of trouble. You like freightliner that's fine. You like aeros that's fine. Don't tell the rest of us how to run our buainess or what we need to be doing as were not telling you the only truck you can drive is a hood.

wow, this sucks. the same sh@! happened to me 3wks ago (Peterbilt 379), I was asleep at a truck stop, when the idiot parked on my right claimed he didn't see my truck. I wanted to kill him. It is true what you said "had it been a crapcadia, or any other plastic truck, it wouldn't be driving away today"

I had a boss that had a ford cab forward. Was in New Jersey with no heater. Was burning road maps in the foot well to keep warm. Were they really the good old days? Guess these kids couldn't do that. Those gps es don't burn real well. But we did have fun. That was more important than money

I show up at a mobile radio shop sometimes just for grins. I have seen the new trucks. Really people? It's a Truck, not some soccer Moms SUV. The head liner falls out on the driver? Mirrors fall off. Wow. New Trucks. No thanks, My old one works fine.

I hate me. I listen 24/7 to make money. Not about the money, just about the challenge. Some Muscle-bound moron told me about low T. If the chain is weak buy another. We need 30,000 chains we haul big stuff. Baby please turn the bottles on. 15 over with Jakes built in, my design. No one can smile wider than me, I'm not the best, but I'm pretty good. Note* I am Home! No drinky No Drive !!!! Got a week or more off. I Own the truck. :)

If one has to ask, why the long hood? They are part of the problem lol. In all seriousness, unless you've driven one for any amount of time, you really don't understand. Sure you will get better fuel economy with an aero truck, one can't hardly argue that. But the visibility argument is pure hogwash. If visibility is so much better in an aero truck, why do I see more tore up bumpers on an aero? Why when I turn on the news where there's a truck accident, I see an aero truck with 'better visibility'? Why are aero trucks generally dirty, and poorly maintained, creating a negative image of the industry (as if we need a more negative image)? I've driven both, and I don't believe for one second the visibility is any better in an aero. If you need to see what's two feet on front of your bumper, you're following way too close. In which case you have no business driving anything, much less an eighteen wheeler. End of rant

Then ask the question if hoods were so great, why don't most of the big fleets have them and why are they in the minority by a lot on the highways of this country?

If hoods were so great, most of the big fleets would have them.
