I dunno. I have a pretty good personal life, have BBQs with friends and family, day trips to wherever. Etc. I have set days off for the most part, every second usually. I can count on one hand how many times I've had to work on my weekend off. And if there's a few slow days, and I'm not at the shop I can go shopping with wife or spend time with my kids

Helps when you live close to home too. I enjoy my time at work. I'm not stuck in a sleeper, hotels paid for on the road, plus living allowance. 21 and 7 isn't a bad shift too work for me either.

I work a 21/14. Live 4500km from where I work. Paid rent, flights, food, mileage to and from airports. Tons of personal life. Kid time, mommy daddy time, Hunting, biking. It's all how you learn to divide your time. Some can, some can't.oilfield and TheYoungBuck Thank this.

Hi Everone,
I just recently got Class 1 license. I want a job in the oilfields, with rotation work, 14/7 for example, and I want to have accommodation provided. I was thinking of going myself to Fort McMurray and apply in person. Is that a good idea? Where should I ask?
Thanks. -
Try ClearStream. They have a full page ad in today's Edmonton Sun.
