Its amazing that he lived
No it was real -
Yes it was real. It happened April 17th 2007. No he did not live. He hit the back of the truck at 120+mph.

Information from Snopes.

I didn't think he could have lived.
1. Ambulance was just sitting next to the body.
2. No attendants on the scene next to the body.
3. Impalement on the back door of a truck, held by head, arms limp. -
I like how his family members said we need helmet laws and harsher penalties. Did they miss the pics and the whole story? He had a helmet on and was doing 125mph.......
-
The gal that sent me this got it from a small group of ladies trying to get others to join in and fight the no helmet law. Her original email read pretty much the same as the link goforce submitted, but they left out the 120mph part and that the biker lived. I had her send them that link. An impact at 120mph, you need help from upstairs to survive. A friend of mine rants at me for not wearing one, i looked at his helmet, it's a 50 dollar walmart special not even dot approved. I guess he's got a 50 dollar head.

nice lil blood puddle too
-
Are you sure that's blood?
What a way to go.
-
well there s other body fluids most likely present there but none that I can think of that would be red.
I saw a kid get hit in MAdison last spring. We sat there while he did the fish out of water flops untill the paramedics showed up. Not sure if he lived or not but the flops are not a good sign, neither was the grey matter on the road. For me riding wasn't the same after that. -
Massive internal injuries could cause blood to mix with other body fluids expelled upon death and loss of blater control.
They say "Speed Kills" -- but it really doesn't. Rather, it's the sudden stop that kills. Going 120 mph, and running into a Big truck's trailer going what, 55 - 60 mph tops? That'd sure constitute a "sudden stop" with internal organs trying to continue at speed while still contained within the body cavity. That's gotta hurt!
