jobless because of Ozark Trucking

I don't know about these 2. I have been here 7 months and have been pretty happy. Do they have problems? Sure but none more than the others. It may have been a plain over sight or it may have been something that he had questions about because it didn't say what it was on his record.

I have referred 2 others from here on this board who seem to be happy and feel ozark did everything best possible. Op should have told them and didn't and that is his fault not ozark's.

 

Any 1 have an opinion about Ozark for a new hire?

yeah..Ozark is a joke. they said they were going to feed me 2 meals a day (not that I needed it) and for breakfast they gave u little Debbie snack cakes and crackers. for lunch they gave us some sorry sub sandwiches that looked like they were made by someone who worked there in the office. they put me in a crappy motel room with windows that leaked and we had to get moved to another room and the air conditioner didn't work in that one. luckily its was cool outside. there orientation consisted mostly listening to some morons war stories out on the road. and Memphis is one nasty crime ridden den of thieves town. I would hate to come in and out of that city all the time. also Ozark doesn't pay you if u run a fed ex load and it is late u don't get a dime for the load. when I heard about that I left. I drove there in my own vehicle 400 miles and decided I would just take the loss and move on to a company with a little more class

 

Your seriously complaining about the food arrangements??....

Don't be late with the load and you have nothing to worry about. I'm sure you read to much into it when they said that. I can almost guarantee it doesn't apply to mechanical, inclement weather or HOS failures. If your at a truck stop horsing around then you should be charged for it.

 

I called Ozark back ... long story short .... the training pay is horrible IMO 14 1/2 cpm while with a Trainer. That's the lowest by far I have heard.

I'll tell you ONE thing they have in common...neither one of them was ever qualified to lead this country...let alone make a peanut butter sandwich.

 

Did you do the math on it?. 14×2500 miles=$350 a week, which is pretty standard with companies.

 

I had to LOL at 450 a month just to keep from crying. Where I reside, 450 won't even rent you a dumpster behind an outdoor mall. We have people paying 1200 a month to live in shared bathroom situations, it's pretty pathetic. There needs to be a migration from the west and the east to the heartland. If more people and businesses decided to leave and settle in the midwest, prices would even out everywhere. Wishful thinking I guess...
