Mine's set as "Hey Michelle!" and it pops up the menu. You can change the prompt in the settings, and I don't remember what default is...(And my GPS is outside.)

Mine was showing weigh station in 5 mike alerts, but I updated the software last time I was home and now I don't get that anymore :( I too use a RM 520 along side my 760. Both have their strong points, so I feel running both simultaneously gives me the best of both worlds.

Just say the words "voice command" while the Garmin Unit is on and a menu should pop up on your screen.

I had the same issue with the weigh station warnings at first but not any longer. My problem was that i didn't have the "Truck Down" application installed on my unit. Once i installed the latest update i finally seen the Truck Down app. For whatever reason some units didn't come with that app already installed. You might even have to call tech support to have them walk you through the process like they did with me.

To check and see if you have the Truck Down app installed goto the main screen. Click the Where to button. The Truck Down app should be at the top of your screen between the "address" button and the "trucking" button. Hope this helps.

I have the Truck Down app but it will not find anything. And still no weigh stations pop up.

When you guys update your GPS, how long does it normally take? I bought the 560 a few days ago and last night before bed I thought I would register it and check for updates. It took over an hour to get it all updated, and my internet connection was very good.

That's about how long my 560 takes.

It takes a while if you're getting a map update. File size is about a gig. I've got fast cable at home and it takes 10-15 minutes over that. Fortunately, map releases are only about every 2-3 months.

Well I read this entire thread and think I'm going to return the RM 720 and get a Garmin 560 or 760. I used to have a Garmin 465T and thought it was fairly easy to use.

My company gives me very specific routing that frequently takes me off an expressway to cut a few miles while running through towns with traffic lights. So I like to add via points to incorporate these quirks. But when I do that then I can't see the time for the entire trip, only to the via point.

I saw that someone mentioned that the Garmin will give entire trip time, which my old 465 didn't do. If this is true then I will definitely get a Garmin.

This is my favorite feature on the Garmin. It will show the miles/time to destination as well as the miles/time to via.
