Dry Freight in a Reefer Van?

Personally I run a Reefer. What I will do, is I will take a GREAT paying load to a "bad market area" of produce. From there I will HAUL HAZMAT load to another good area, with another great RATE, do a wash out, and pick up another great paying load. So basically if you have a reefer, and haul dry freight (depending on your reefer, mine can clear out 45k with no problem) you have no worries. Just if it's hazmat, get a washout cause at time the odor is bad!

 

If someone tells you the dry load is auto parts it can make a difference, most of the time they will not load a reefer. You wouldn't want them to with some of it anyways they'd shred the inside of a reefer in short order at some of these plants.

 

I have been looking into getting a reefer. What rates ,at what length of hauls do you usually come across if you dont mind me asking?
