Clutch in and steer straight, or take the I-25. When I was doing dedicated with Old Dominion, LA to Denver four times a week in eight days. we always, if possible, use I-25 in the winter.

I have used chains on the trailer in some situations such as empty, slick roads and wind. Keeps the trailer tires with traction but you do need to keep the speed down to keep from chewing up tires and chains.

I'm the guy running with my 4 ways on running nice and slow while all the idiots pass me. I've drivven a few miles and have seen the idiot that past me in the ditch....You can go to slow all day long. You can go to fast just once.

Those Fed ex hauling doubles makes it look like a joy ride the way they drive up and down those mountains in the Winter.Must be a fed ex terminal in that area.

I've been taking loads over Vail Pass 3 times a night for the last 6 years and I see Fed-Ex accidents regularly in the winter. Keep it geared down and take it slow--that's it. Worry about what's in front of you, your trailer's not going anywhere.
