Trying to get some info from drivers to see how the account is going. I drove that account for the company that previously had it so was just wondering how its going and what the weekly pay is looking like. I have a orientation scheduled for the 25th in Middletown for the newburgh account. If you don't work for jb hunt please keep your negative crap to yourself thanks.

Im currently a jb hunt driver and im doing C&S account out of windsor lock, ct. i get 175$ a day no matter what and i drive a sleeper and if you drive daycab you make more than me, 41cpm, 40$ for coming to work, 25$ per stop just jump on it if you can and you will be happy i guess. I go to newburg location all the time and they have a nice place and they have a big sign says (pretrip and post trip or no trip lol)

some of us have to unload the trailer and some of us don't have to, it's up to you and you will tell them if you want to unload or not. I know a guy there he been driving for 25 years and he unload the trailer he show one of his paycheck it was 1750 before taxes that's a lot of money. I don't unload the trailer and my lasy paycheck was 1225$ before taxes. i finally realize that otr is not for me, they treat you like crap, 2500 miles away from the house, they play games with loads and miles. One more thing about C&S account is you need to find something to do for fun when you get caught in traffic in Ny i spend 3 hours to cross george washington bridge two days ago.

You deliver to grocery stores so some places will let u unload others won't. its faster if u unload yourself and get out of there. the way it used to be with the other company anyways. grocery is a lot easier then perishable or frozen. my only problem right now is the commute and I have a older Cherokee with not so good gas mileage. if they have sleepers at the newburgh terminal I would be all over that just to avoid the everyday commute.

I don't know if they have sleeper at the newburgh terminal but they should be able to get you one, i deliver to grocery stores and they don't let me sit a lot. Get a sleeper and save money, im kinda like it i will hang in there until i find something better. Drivers who unload the trailer they are friendly and they always laughing and i ask one of them why he told me he will quit if the company is going to debt i mean by that if you can do physical work you can unload the trailer and make extra money for your pocket.

A recruiter called me about this job. Said there's a $2500.00 sign on bonus for Chester and $5000.00 for Newburgh. The thing that I don't get is why is this job posted on the internet for over a year? I use to see the same job posted when C&S had their own trucks. About a year ago I saw the exact same job posted under JB Hunt dedicated. Is there something wrong with this place or what? Recruiter said they are just really busy and that they lose a few people because they don't care to go into NYC. I'm up and down 87, 17, 84, 684 all day long, I see the the JB Hunt trucks with the DCS logo coming in and out of Newburgh and Chester, but I never see the same guy driving the rig? Whats the deal?

its 5,000 for chester and 2,500 for newburgh. You never see the same guy because there are numerous trucks both from chester and newburgh, its not a 1 truck operation lol. It hasn't been a year since JB hunt has only had the account for 6 months. CS never had there own trucks it was Webster trucking. Any other questions feel free to ask?

Oh yeah, I remember it was Webster handling that account, I knew a guy that ran for them. And I know its more than 1 truck at JB Hunt, I see 10 to 20 of them every day and I know they run round the clock. And OK JB Hunt has the account for 6 months now, But why is the add always on the job boards? Do they need that much help or are guys leaving the job for some reason or another?

the answer is both. guys leave mainly because they are lazy and don't want to make a 2nd run or they bang up the trucks and get fired. Chester has a lot of work. newburgh is pretty much good, that's where im out of. true story here. Friday night im at dispatch window in chester dropping off paperwork wishing I had hours to run and guy next to me has 8 hours and refuses to go back out and gives 2 week notice instead. dude works 8 hours a day apparently and goes home? I feel good if I make about 225.00 a day. some days I make more but I don't go home till ive made the 225.00
