honest answer take home pay

    Is Is there any owner operators that can tell me what they are taking home after all expenses truck payment fuel maintenance account and fuel taxes and federal tax social security and Medicare? I am currently a company driver looking to become an owner operator thanks

    Open ended question, but I made around 2,500.00 to 3,500.00 per week heavy haul after it was all said and done. But then that was before all the scabs came out of the wood work and cut the rates.

    I officially retired last month. Didn't work for them. Two drivers that work there post on here often; one husband/wife team with a strong business background chose the company also & they talk straight.

    I just switched to a lower paying company do to my driving record but I pull in around 1600 after expenses per week. Beofore I got my ticket I was making 2000-3000/week.

    Ok thanks for the replies most that I am talking to are saying 1400 to 1900 a week after expenses but I was not asking them if that was after taking out out money for uncle Sams share

    I would expect when people give a number after expenses that it includes taxes. After all, that is likely your biggest liability aside from fuel.
