Hey guys (and gals!) Been "stalking" these pages for awhile & just wanted to say thanks to you all for the info you provide on here. A wealth of good information & advice. Helped me make the decision to go with CRS. I'm here now at Memphis for my first week of school, then on to WVC next week. Can't wait to get started & hopefully I'll see some of you down the road! I'll buy the coffee!

Just a quick introduction. I'm Aaron, an RN who's making a career change. I'm expecting to hear back from Central this week to see if they'll accept me for school. I truly hope they do.
I greatly appreciate all the good information on the boards. Been lurking for a bit and reading everything I can about training and such. And I also appreciate how friendly most folks seem.
A little bit more about me: I'm 47, single and a bit tired of customer service. I've worked in nursing since 1992, mostly in nursing homes and a little in a small town emergency room. It was great, but it's time to move onto something else. I'm really quite excited. I'm sure that, once I put my mind to something, I can do it. Driving a truck is most probably a learned skill that many people can do. I'm certain I can.Arkansas Frost Thanks this. -
Been on hometime, was supposed to take my truck to the dealer. Had dead batteries (but shop said they were ok) and what they thought was an air leak, was actually a hole in the tire. Im not even worried, at home relaxing. Went out to the gun show, got my self a new rifle. Had fun with that today.

Welcome from another career changed nurse
badhousekeeper Thanks this. -
man you guys are both better off being nurses in hospitals making 60k

I've talked to several Kraft guys and they all seemed to know what they were doing. They take care of their fleet and I don't know why anyone wouldn't want a team that keeps them moving. I'm happier here than I thought I could be, lol. Now to grab some rookies and put on my big boy pants again!!!

There are pros and cons to being a nurse. After 20 years of other people's family dynamics, 1000s of deaths and "the customer's always right" even if they don't know what they're talking about, I think it might be nice to be alone for a while. And, after a certain point in life, it's not always about the money. Sometimes it might be about the adventure.
This sounds like a wonderful adventure to start. I can hardly wait.
P.S. I see people "liking" posts, but I haven't figured out how to do that yet. Any clue would be appreciated.Last edited: Oct 20, 2013
