Hello everyone, new member here but I have been aware of the Truckee report since '06, I haven't been driving rigs since '09 so I was wondering what my chances are of landing a decent driving job without any recent experience? Any info greatly appreciated, clean record no accidents but it seems everywhere I look they only want recent experience.

Your best bet is to find a small O/O (less than 5 trucks) looking to fill a seat, with an insurance company that will underwrite you.

IF you find a company to hire you without a refresher course, you will likely start out a newbie pay. All I can say is get on the phone and start selling yourself. Also, read up on new HOS rules and regulations.

I have been off road since 2006 and in same position still trying may have to take a position at less then desirable company just to get recent experience.

Contact some companies that offer refresher/employment:
Schneider
Paschall Truck Lines
Swift
National Carriers
several others also
Some companies have time limits & others bend their own rules.
