take 485 to Wilkinson then you can turn right onto park road (route 273)
or mt holly road off 485 to route 273

 

You tell em Lil! Hell I go round em mt-)I go round em in a 4 wheeler-- back to question--there is a wide spot on74 marked as a scale never seen it open but.......
Good advice here on other ways--but remember that scale when open usually busy and both lanes keep Rollin don't think I've ever seen em throw a red light--just a thought

That scale house is where they train new DOT officers too.......So they kinda get crazy at times doing inspections.
There is one old guy that usually works the south bound side who is a real pain.He will write a ticket for anything.
They stopped me 3 times in one week during the last blitz.....They love to pick on bobtails too..

 

That works too but it is a long way across that 161 to get back to 85.Plus all the lights in Rock Hill.

 

I did not accuse, I simply stated some of the issues that could arise, Please read the post again. It is not common for someone who is fallowing the rules to want to spend time and money to go around a scale house.

 

It's only natural for a driver who wants to save his hard earned money to want to go around certain scales, as we're their only source of income, and certain DOT officers and scales will get you for something, regardless of age or condition of equipment.

 

Yes,And that IS one of the scales that will get you for the least little things.

 

They can and will pull you on 74 both scales still there.but have done it many times,no problem
