I'm also very interested in this. Mcelroy recruiter came to or school 3rd day in. That itself made me suspicious why so quick to scoop us up before the other recruiters. But what he did say was home by Friday night then back out sometime Sunday afternoon or evening, $500 a week during 2 week orientation and 4 weeks with the training driver, and he said the start pay after training period 43¢ per mile. Now my concerns are is any of this true and the SE regional route how many miles can I expect to get with that decent or should I look for non regional. Thanks to all for any help.
TMC or McElroy

I thought about that to I decided to go ahead and go with TMC they got nice equipment and okay hometime and you make good money
-
What are you averaging a week if you don't mind me asking
-
I haven't started yet but I hear between 800-1200
-
Well please keep me posted it looks like it's a good choice. Do you know where you have to take the truck for your home time is it a terminal or you house if you want. I've got six more weeks in school so I'm looking early so I can get as much info as possible.

You take it home bro I think that this is not a mistake but a major change

I am looking at the same two companies. I like TMC better, because everyone says you make more with their percentage pay AND you get paid extra to tarp (you don't with McElroy). Also, they are employee owned and you can get stocks. BUT, I, too, and located in the south. There's a major McElroy homebase only a few hundred miles away in Alabama and they do most of their runs in the southeast, but TMC's headquarters are in DeMoines, Iowa, far, far away. Now they are advertising a position in my zip code, but I worry that I'll be making driving runs up north and it will eat up my "home time" just getting home. Can someone tell me how that works, or if you know anything about TMC routes? I really like everything I've heard about the company, but McElroy is much closer to home. Thanks!

I know but TMC will take care of you.
Musicmaker60 Thanks this. -
Living south of I-20, TMC does not offer the 48 out of 52 weekends home deal, at least last time I talked to them they didn't. Even though I see a TMC truck parked at my local Walmart every weekend.
McElroy offers every weekend home, every where.
Personally, I would choose McElroy for the home time promise (but that's just me). I don't see a pay scale on McElroy's website. Anyone know what they pay? -
L.B they pay .43 a mile loaded and unloaded its southeast region. Can I make money in southeast? But TMC is every other weekend and 48 states and Canada
