Try reading this thread from post no. 1... just about everything will be answered by an instructor. Do put everything down on your application. Trying to hide anything through omission will get you sent home. On your dime.

Lightweights... Prostar, Cascadias mostly. If you have trouble fitting into one because of your size, they will put you into a larger truck, sans the 5-cpm lightweight bonus.

They'll probably want you to do an in-house sleep apnea test. No big deal. Sleep Pointe, a third-party sleep clinic does them in a facility located at the Campus Inn. Just have to get it done.

Hello everyone, I am looking forward to starting Prime the first week of December and was wondering how difficult is it to get a FB trainer for TnT? I am looking to join the FB regional around Texas. Thanks in advance for any info.

A big thanks to ALL the Prime trainers here for their participation and disseminated info. Especially IP, SE, & HWY101. I'm nearly 50, and ready to start a second career after 25yrs doing what I have been doing. Been researching for nearly a year. Heavily last two months, especially here. Don't really have too many questions because if you DO read & DO research, most all is covered within the different threads in this board, in addition to other places. But, did want to thank you trainers for helping me decide to apply to Prime.

I've wanted to drive most of my life, but career choices took me in a different direction. That is over now. I worked at truck stops in my younger days, and went on many runs with OTR drivers just to see what it was like. LOVED IT, but also got to see the realities of it. Current situation allows me to pursue that desire, but funds are awful close to attempt private CDL school first, thus my consideration of Prime as one of the more promising training companies.

Filled out online application, then spoke to a gem of a gal in recruiting. Can't say enough about how nice she was. Yeah, I know. Still a recruiter, but..... no pressure or grand promises at all. I really didn't have many questions due to the comprehensive coverage you trainers have provided. My only concerns were past record stuff from long, long ago. I will restate what has been presented before, though, for future prospects...... Put anything and everything down as requested. I did, and much easier if you just get it out in the open from the get go. Makes things much easier & saves both sides from wasting time. They WILL find out, anyway. I'm currently awaiting back round verification and sending them some records requested of me. Long as what I told them checks, looks like there is a real possibility. Have applied to others and awaiting also, but Prime pretty much is my first choice at this point.

Do have a question as far as this site and PM's, though.... Do you have to have a certain amount of posts to PM? I'm usually not one for boards and all. I usually find what need through actual reading and research, rather than banter. But, would be nice to be able to ask a trainer if I could PM, if needed. Maybe I'll just have to get used to posting here, even though have never been comfortable with it. :biggrin_25521:

Again, thanks ALL the trainers'. You have been a great help with all your detail over many different lengthy threads. :biggrin_25520:

Seven, but any moderator can forward PM's for you until you reach that minimum.
