so is he. hes also home on weekends

If that's the monthly total, and he's just started out, then I'd say he's most likely fallen victim to the TS "costs". Hubby could spend that much a month easily, when he was hauling cattle. You don't park a cattle pot at a Walmart. LOL They tend to frown on that. And he didn't have a fridge in the truck at the time, so he ate when he could and where he could park.
You can definitly cut the cost of eating on the road by adding an inverter, fridge and something for him to warm up meals in.
IDK about the bra hook thing, LOL But I do know that hubby's truck swallows things and we will find them later, when they rattle back out to a visible location. The TV remote was notorious for this.

You wimmins are kidding yourselves.....LOL.....a bra hook......yeah....right....

One thing to remember is even though its much cheaper it still isn't free to eat at home.
Figure out what it would cost to eat at home for a month and take that off his total. When you look at it that way the number doesn't seem quite as outrageous.Truckergirl0720, 25(2)+2 and D.Tibbitt Thank this. -
I hope not hire Guido & Tony "NoNeck" tho.Cetane+ Thanks this.

Shelly, I know you are new to the Forum and Welcome, but statements like these are harder to follow if you don't "Reply With Quote" down on the bottom of each post there is the little area if you mouse over it then you can get that statement or post quoted! I hope you guys get it figured out, seem like you were happy till Mr Happy Trucker got involved with the second thoughts! Hang in there I guess he can spend it if he has it but it doesn't sound like he has it. Take Care!shelly Thanks this.

Yep, and no soda, coffee, lunch, shower, etc. I typically spend $25-40 a day on the road. I don't cook in my truck anymore and mainly carry just a few snacks thanks to the raccoon incident. Now that winter is here, I'll throw some emergency food in. It's expensive to live on the road. I make plenty of money to pay my way, but if I was working for a bottom feeder mega, I would be more frugal.
As far as the bra clip, trucks DO swallow things, and if it's a company truck, there is no telling how many different drivers have lived in it. I had owned my truck for over 5 years when a receipt fell out the bottom of the dash from the previous owner. When pulling out the interior thanks to the raccoon incident, I found a few small items that were not mine. -
Here's my two cents. It's easy enough to blow that much eating at truckstops. If they are transactions in the $10-16 at a time range, that's likely him stuffing his face at the buffet.
I'd pay more attention to atm withdrawals.
If there are a lot, I'd consider that to be a red flag.blairandgretchen Thanks this.
