Class 1 gives you more options. As to days off 15 and 6 is about as good as it gets in general. When I was on it, I found I had to work to use up my holiday time. It all depends how far you are from home. When I worked out of red deer I was home 95% of the nights.

When I was with clean harbours a couple years ago they offered the 7/7 shift with flights and camp. All hours were straight time though. 84 hours a week split in 2 so payslip showed 42 hours straight time a week.oilfield Thanks this.

My current one? It was a few blocks away from my house, went in and applied. Started off as a swamper, worked my butt off....got my license and here I am.
As for applying at trican..I applied online, waited a week didnt hear anything so I went into the red deer shop and had a quick interview and said theyd be in touch in a few weeks. They were just just starting to gather resumes when I applied. Went in after 2 weeks, gave me an offer.
Like I mentioned in an earlier post, my current company gave me a good offer to stay -
