With his experience, my guess is there are several companies willing to pay, and treat him better. I can think of a couple off the top of my head. I don't want to promote any specific company, so if you are interested, shoot me a message.

He's working for USX now. Company, not leasing; as a team instead of training. Just praying for a better outcome from this.
-
I'm sure your days of negative paychecks are over.

Threads around here are riddled with recommendations of potential companies that members recommend to one another, not to much secret around here in regards to this type of information.
-
USX is a team oriented company.. Mainly the teams are the ones who get all the long runs
-
Did he get on a dedicated account ?

US Xpress is just as bad. They try and push lease on everyone as well. See if your man can get a local job at a smaller company. If he has a clean license someone will be willing to take a chance on him. Don't trust the megas. All they do is bend you over.

He's getting Ceva, thanks to you! Much appreciated!

Congrats on getting on Ceva ! He will get plenty of miles doing that account. Last guy I talked to on that got 8,200 miles for the week.
US Xpress does not push the lease purchase program. That was one thing I liked about them.
I agree though that your husband should look for a job that is local. He has the experience. Be home every night so he can make love to the woman he loves.Victor_V, MidnightStars20 and NavigatorWife Thank this. -
WOW after reading through this entire thread about CRE, I was amazed. about 2 1/2 or 3 yrs ago my hubby applied online for a job with CRE. They called him, asked some questions and then said they would do a background check. They said within a week or 2 they will call him back. We NEVER heard from them again. And now I want to say thank you GOD!! And BTW, he never had anything of a record on his CDL, had almost 2yrs experience OTR, no accidents, nothing. Although he is now working for a smaller company, he drive's solo, got a brand new 2012 truck to drive (he started with them in April 2012 at the time). He drives West Coast to East Coast & back to West Coast. Paid a flat rate depending exactly where on the East Coast he ends up to D/O load. I use to ride with him for almost 2 yrs until he started with this company last year. Only reason I quit was cause of my back issues from a car accident. We fought like cats & dogs. I might not see him much maybe 2-4 days total out of a month, sometimes not even that, but we rarely fight & argue now.
I wanted to say Good Luck to MidnightStar20 I'm sure things will soon be very good & much better for you & you husband now with more money & less stress.NavigatorWife Thanks this.
