Which company do u guys suggest for a new person to train with, Swift or Prime? And why? Right now, i am thinking of the near future and just wish to sign on with the company that I will not regret. I have been reading blogs from u guys (truckers in all sorts of areas) so I have learned to stay away from CR England, for example. I thank u guys for the info that u share and yes, there are even newbies like me who read and appreciate your honest opinions.

Of the two you mentioned, I would go with Prime flatbed or tanker.
My second choice for company training would be CRST flatbed which has an 8 month obligation then you're debt free and free to leave if you choose.

Before anyone starts blasting me; he asked about company sponsored training & I answered his question. In my opinion these two routes are the best for a stepping stone to the higher paying permanent jobs in flatbed or tanker.

CR England is actually not bad from the drivers of theirs i talked to as long as u dont do lease purchase. At all costs stay away from Werner or Stevens. Of the two Id say Prime. Seems to have better training a lot less dumb ### mistakes.

Understand this when referencing corporate training. Like an company a good dispatcher or instructor will solve most of your problems. Someone may have a bad taste for a company due to circumstance that has been fixed already. What you need to understand about the contract you will sign for this training in a given company. YOU WILL NEVER PAY MONEY FOR TRAVEL OR OTHER EXPENSES. People have been ripped in the past by soulless leaches who pray on those trying to succeed. Your company should offer travel, berthing and even food money while in training. Ensure your rate of pay is fully understood prior to signing. If offered 28 CPM then make sure its not tied to a rule like "must driver atleast 2500 miles per month in order to receive". Also look at the company on safersys.org and check their stats. They may be historically unsafe or not following regulations which would be asking for highway patrol to inspect more trucks more often. Leaving you roadside and not driving making money due to previous company errors you just signed on to bear the burden of. Where will your training be? What is the guaranteed weekly pay and how often are you paid? WHAT IS THE PENALTY FOR INCOMPLETE OR DROPPING TRAINING? Very important as you may be stuck with satan as your instructor who isnt there to help inexperienced drivers. You may find that you are simply put in back of the class and neglected due to asking too many questions or failure to alley dock or paralell accordingly. Your research and your alone will help you insurmountably over the next 30 years of your life. These are not standard higher education programs, long hours, varied conditions and no margin for error. Good luck out there Big Wheel and god bless.,
