skip was rolling....

GREAT conditions for skip lately. I don't do much driving during the day and talk a little skip at night. Drove 2 blocks today to the shop and talked to South Carolina then to SF California from central Nebraska on Ch 21, like we were setting next to each other. Kinda fun

 

Been on 38 and 39 LSB for the last week making allot of contacts...854 in the Star!

 

Must be the prime time of the year, even 10 meters has been wide open lately. Too bad I'm working odd shifts at night and sleepin in the day.

 

My needle has been in the red for the last few weeks due to skip. Can't even squelch it out and end up using the RF gain to get rid of it. Sure makes it hard to talk locally.

 

Lol that it is. But it was annoying as hell in SD last week. They had a bad wreck up on I90 and they were skipping from Washington if I remember right. Trying to get drivers warned was a bit difficult when you had somebody cutting in.

 

NO doubt there. Lots of channels to use and now the idiots think they need to use 19 too!
