NO Broker Freight?

Their company is called "NO Broker Freight"?...or is there something missing here...

Now there's something that's been a long time coming... a clearinghouse for direct shippers.

 

Apparently, they offer a 30 day free trial that isn't really free. You have to give them your credit card information before you can activate an account. That would turn me off this type of website. Either they have a 30 day free trial or they don't. It is misrepresentation. I would not want to do business with anyone who misrepresents themselves.

 

Then you woke up suddenly, in a cold sweat, thinking maybe it was those Flying J pizza slices from last night. Then realizing you had a nightmare about being featured on an episode of Shipping Wars.

 

My thoughts exactly. I got to the credit card page in the signup process, and then bailed. I'm not paying for something that I can't evaluate first.

 

can you give us some numbers of what kind of rate you got of the board and what trailer you have? i'd be interested if this is legit.

 

I don't think it's legit. I sent an email to the contact address, letting them know that I wasn't going to pay $40 without getting a few days to poke around on the board for free. I have not seen a reply to the email yet.

Also, I'm not impressed with all the hype on the site, complete with misspellings and almost zero substance. It seems to me like whoever is running it is trying to fund it with new signup fees from carriers. If that's the case, then it will never succeed.

If it was legit, then they'd have enough funding to allow shippers and carriers use the site for free until it becomes viable.

 

i have a secondary credit union checking account, i use for things like this.

carries zero balance and no overdraft. if it don't work out. i don't sweat trying to cancell. as most times it's not that easy, if at all. they can bill my checking credit card all they want. there's no funds. transaction won't be approved. account gets cancelled. and i'm not out anything. not even my time other then to open account.
