    Picked up a load at Del Monte in Crystal City, TX this morning. Appt was for 0720. I arrive at 0650, check in with the guard, and head to the back. Guys are just coming on duty at 0700. By 0705, I'm in a dock, they start loading me at 0715, and I'm gone, BOLs in hand and scaled out at the facility, at 0750.

    Get to Del Monte in Ft. Worth. Friendly folks. Guy in the receiving office was one of the nicest guys I've met in that position in many, many moons. Even the yard guy comes up to me and directs me to a specific empty.

    Just a real nice experience all around. Made driving up the forever-under-construction I-35 seem worthwhile.

    Glad to hear Pack--and always nice to see someone mentioning the good one--oh and BTW--by popular decree I35 fro SA/to DFW--is NO LONGER I35 it is now to be referred to as either
    1-The Southern Spur of the Long Island Expressway
    2-Texas's own Long Island Expressway
    Take your pick! LMAO

    ...and they drive just like NYer's do!! I swear...people are nuts all over! Only thing I can say is Texans will somehow signal a "Thank You" if you move over and let them pass on a 2-lane.

    Good ol 35W. I drive that road several times a day. I dont know which is worse, 35W or 635 in Dallas.
