He's full of it because it affects the company's CSA too. Only in an audit phase would you get punished. A log dept will just make sure you are compliant and slap your hand. This case he was trying to scare you.

I now realize that. Thank you...although I'm scratching my head trying to figure out why they would require it. Most fuel receipts are time stamped now days. So they can match that up...well mine aren't...even the ones that came with a time stamp don't have one when I'm done with them.blairandgretchen Thanks this.

Uh huh......you must spill a lot of coffee? Are a little careless with fuel receipts and bills of lading and they just happen to get torn right where the time is? Yeah I used to have those bad habits too. Oh well accidents happen! LOL!missjhawk, blairandgretchen and 379exhd Thank this.

Lol I only use coffee when I run out of simple green. Lol. And as for the BOLs I can count of at least 4 of them that are no longer in existance and some fuel receipts that no longer exist. I got stopped in KS and the ####### made copys of my log book. Yea when I got home I made sure I was off duty for those days lol. You're right accidents happen I got a little careless with a lit cigarettes in the office turns out some documents caught fire lol.fuzzeymateo Thanks this.

About eleven years ago I used to run steel out of Mansfield OH back to SD. It was always a hot item and coffee always got spilled on the BOL. One day I got pulled in the MO Valley scale house and the officer didn't buy the spilled coffee excuse. " you know we can call these people" he said. So I called his bluff and said "go ahead". Shiloh Steel in Mansfield always treated us right and when they got a phone call they didn't let me down and acted all kinds of confused. Since it was a different shift they really may have been confused. Anyhow, I was sent on my way. LOL.NavigatorWife Thanks this.

You'll be fine. Sounds like a company thing. Would you have a different Driver Manager if you leased back to this company? Could just be dealing with a DM that does not want to loose another driver.
-
i would be more worried about the lease you are about to sign and not fuel logging violations. you might be better off staying a company driver,in the long run lots of luck
-
Yeah. You are right. They want to stay as a company driver... I will lease to them with my truck.
