Well here may be a kicker that I somehow forgot to put in. Sometimes my wife wants to divorce me and then the next day I'm the best thing ever. If she were to divorce me it wouldn't be about me being otr (I'd quit anyways) but I also want at least half custody if it ever happened. But it is so unclear on where that is gonna go

Seek the advice of a competent lawyer immediately on your divorce issues and do tons of reading on the web. Now unto your choice. You need to find out if that US Foods is a union or non union shop. You might be let go before the end of ninety days hence i would keep the truck until after the probation period. You are twenty two now but in twenty years that pension and benefits could be looking mighty fine. If you are a 1099 now how much will health care and benefits cost you in the next few years? Food service offers some of the best pay and benefits in trucking.

Cool, how do you hire people for the jobs? You use craigslist? I mean, if you got a job for Miami, how do you manage the whole thing? -
No Craigslist. There are moving agents in every city. They have local labor there and you hire them for a day and pay them cash. There are very few and I mean very few moves that go to the boonies where there is no labor. When that happens you either hire a guy off the street or turn down the job ahead of time. Some drivers have a helper ride cross country with them and just the two of them do the job. I would but I don't own a double bunk yet. So I just turn down those loads. But I've only had to do so 1 time.

What kind of hometime can you afford yourself? You live in the middle of the country, it shouldn't be too hard.
