Schneider is to cheap to pay for that or anything else. They nit pick little stuff to try tot to pay if they would buy a CB radio for my truck I would die of a hart attack I think. What sucks is that sometimes I go to places for Schneider and they demand I be on CB channel 12 or whatever I tell them I don't have it, they say phone, but I got no signal (Schneider doesn't pay for that eater).
My 2 cents is if I work for them as a company driver and they keep 100% of the profit which they do, they should get me a CB radio, but most Schneider drivers would probably disagree say say I have to pay for it out of my tiny company check which I refuse to do. -
I have an unlimited Phone Plan, I don't need to have a company to pay for the call to go to a door. If you hate them that bad why don't you go else where? Just my 2 cents worth.Rocket1949 Thanks this.

All a driver needs is a basic stock cb tuned to a pair of FireStik antennas. Traffic information and Shippers/Receivers is the only meaningful benefit. There is to many jackwagons nowdays to keep it on straight thru the driving day.

Swing by your local pawn shop. I got my radio there. Cobra 29 classic. $50. It included a gear keeper mic retractor and those alone are $25 at the truckstop. Both purchased new would have set me back nearly 3 times that.

Boy, are YOU in for a rude awakening if/when you leave Schneider.
How many trucking companies do you think provide you with a cell phone and a CB radio? -
years ago Schneider actually did provide CB radios for the trucks. They were the basic model, nothing fancy

If it's a company unit, it should come with at least a basic unit. Really shouldn't be a drivers responsibility to outfit a truck owned by someone else.
I can see that some places are reluctant to supply something that can easily be swiped by a less than honest person, but there are ways of dealing with that.
