You're right; people were taking about both and I got them mixed up. Crsco means a trailer hunt and a load out of kfnew. Btw, I have NEVER had detention denied.

kind of funny you mention the trailer hunt, there's 3 empty reefers here now... All have locks on them and one of the locks is being forcefully removed with a blue tip hot wrench as we speak. Lol

Well after an awful week, because after running 150 miles to finish up a run I get sent to a meat load out of Crete, NE and the appt time wasn't until 0700 the next day and a si ilar delay after that delivery. I don't know what to do about situations like this. I've tried taking the hit and going with it and turning runs down only to get not much better. I want to run hard and can run hard, so its frustrating! But, on the bright side, the upcoming week looks like about 3200 miles and a local trailer move.

Doulos, you've answered your own question here.

With over the road, you have to take the good and the bad, hoping that it works out OVERALL in your favor.

In other words, let's say that you need to make $40K a year to stay in this job. It may not be a steady $800 per week. Instead it may be $600 one week and $1000 the next, but as long as the overall income is where you need it, then you're good.

    Hope that helps!

Was a beautiful, and somewhat warm Colorado morning to begin making deliveries today! They are calling for snow this weekend, so I thought I'd share a photo before the wet, cold and eventual mud creeps in!

Well so far so good! Week 1 of my training went great. Loaded in Ogden took it to CRSRO, picked up another in Rochelle, dropped it at CRSCO, then picked up in Kennesaw & delivered in FL, then loaded in FL all the way back to CRSWVC. This morning we picked up at Dannon & heading across WY now to drop at a Swift yard in PA & already have another load lined up all the way back to UT. I'm loving it! Glad I came to Central!

Hi Guys I have a quick question. Looks like I will be going to CF myself I got a pre hire from them and I am suppose to be heading down there from central Oregon on 11/25/2013 to salt lake Utah. Now what my recruiter told me was that I would have to take there Refresher course since I got my CDL a year ago and I drove OTR with a trainer from another company for a month. the Refresher is 3 weeks long which I received an email from them about how the schooling cost and such and noticed that the CDL school for people who don't have a CDL is also 3 weeks. So my question is are they trying to make me go through the whole CDL program just like I have not had a CDL which mine is still good ? and also wouldn't a refresher be maybe a week long ? So I was wondering if any one has recently gone though there Refresher course can let me know what they exactly have you do. And am I going to be stuck in a class with non CDL students and be expected to take the permit test and the endorsement test all over again etc... ( which I have all of my endorsements all ready ). Or am I going to just be able to stay in the yard mostly and practice my yard skills and such.

Anyways thank you guys for any info you can provide.

I have been reading a lot of this forums on here and they are very informative

Things might have changed, but I went through school there was someone doing a refresher as well. They do the lectures and the on the road and behind the wheel stuff, but they did not need to go to the DMV for the permit test. At the end of it all then went out with the trainer.
