Thanks for the kind words! Most of us on the Heavy Fleet here take a lot of pride in what we do, & the safety record we keep, some people mistake that pride for arrogance...I've heard it said both ways. Being part of it, I assure you it's pride.

That's why that bridge strike came such a shock. I'm so glad that nobody got hurt from that.

Gonna deliver this "baby" chassis today. It's a Cat 789D rock truck. It's two models smaller than the one that I hauled the banjo for (photos on previous page). It's just a little guy, 12'6"W x 14'H x 110'6"L @ 153,000lbs gross, 88,000lbs payload. The "complete" rock truck is a 789C, the older model of this chassis.

I've only ever had a gal in a scale house in Georgia say something about it. She asked where my license plate was, I told her under the sign, she just pulled the sign out a little bit and handed me my permit back and said have a safe trip. I have since cut the sign so that the plate can be out in the open.

We had a few drivers get questioned about it (I don't think anyone got a ticket). We mounted our plates on a hinged bracket so they can go over the top of the sign.
