I think in most places in CA we have a target on our back. I usually run 59mph and get passed a lot, but CHP leaves me alone. I signed up after the fact with Roadlaw. It will give you a significant discount on their services and you can get some quick legal advise for free during the year. I think it is about $10.00 a month. It's tax deductible and just a cost of doing business these days.

Is roadlaw better than TVC?
-
I don't know. I have used Roadlaw and had a favorable outcome to my dilemma. I cannot speak for the other guys. Since both of them are from out of town they might be using the same local source to represent them in traffic court. Just a guess on my side. -
I would rather go to dinner with the Devil than lead this person wrong. Make it go away, pay the fine, and act normal. IF you were speeding. The fine is less than the aftermath. Insurance rates, meetings with safety, da t da. I wasn't there. Some of them sleep with their RADAR guns at night. But that's for another forum.

Had a California lawyer contact me and said these trucker defense places try to do it with paperwork instead of going to court...he wants 1200 bucks...I just don't know which way to go. Got a friend who used tvc in Cali and worked fine for him. They are less expensive than Roadlaw and both are less expensive than the lawyer...just frustrating...and I know, I know...before anyone gets smart with me I did it to myself. Saw other threads on here with people asking for help and all they got was "you should've known better" or "you got what you deserved"... this is why I wanna thank everyone so far for just answering my question. People in this country, I tell ya...just like to kick someone when they're down.

Paying it won't make it go away. Fighting it will...maybe
-
I was not there. I worked as a safety head for a huge company. Safety & Insurance don't look at you till at least 2 violations. Everyone knows Kali is broke. He was there. A ticket was issued.

Did the lawyer guarantee anything for the $1200? I would call the DA like the other poster listed and give them a good sob story first, cant hurt...Whichever, make it go away!
