No I haven't had the lunch yet. I could have this week but choose to start making my way to KY in hopes of dropping in Jeffersonville which really paid off. Even after I was held up a few hours in Indiana waiting on a tire truck to pull some nails out of my tires.

FueltankHank, what do u know about Alphapet in Decatur? Is that one of our accounts? I've loaded there once before on a Sunday. Anyway a friend called last night and asked if we went there, the engineering firm he works for is looking at plans that would double alpha's production. Not sure how much it would effect us drivers because they have a pretty big rail capacity from what I've seen.

The Morris, Il terminal services that location. We don't have a terminal in MI. We run freight out of Dow Midland and Nova in Sarnia, ON. We also have a ton of freight that delivers to Michigan and Canada. The Morris terminal runs 25% of all A&Rs freight so plenty of work in the area.

If you live up that way make sure you have your passport and you don't mind going to Ontario.

This time of year isn't good for our industry. Loads are scarce right now. I would suggest waiting until February to come here regardless what terminal your out of. I dropped a loaded trlr in Columbus Sunday and checked with dispatch on Monday, they had nothing. I was there with 2 drivers out of that terminal waiting for a load. Finally at 0900 the dispatcher came to me with a load his driver backed out of so he could get his truck in the shop. It was a whopping 180 mile run. Then a 190 deadhead to morris. Arrived last night, had a repair done on my truck this morn and received dispatch for a 309 mile load to drop at Jeffersonville, IN. I've been waiting 11 hours for a clean trailer and still no luck so I'm a bit frustrated right now.

Sorry things aren't doing so well for you. I've heard mixed reviews for A&R seems like work isn't consistent and a lot of short hauls from Columbus. 11hrs is a bit much to wait for a trl are you getting paid to wait?

It was a 14 hour wait for the trailer. I'm not sure if I get compensated because it's never been an issue for me before. I left a message for my terminal manager to call me so I could find out what to do to get compensated but he never called me back, or at least hasn't yet.

put a delay in and you get paid. i waited on a RC and trailer and was paid. gave up 2 hours but it still helped. as far as freight i heard today in dispatch they were talking about Dow in Ohio and Ineos and Exxon in the gulf are going crazy starting tomorrow through mid december.

i do know they only have a couple dozen trucks that are seatable still open. at the lunch they said they have more drivers then any month going back to 2011. i was slow in september but october and november have been good.

hope you get out of the rut Shanbone
