Thank you passport. Took me by surprise. I just went into the hole with this lease thing but I can't worry about that right now. Doc said I can go back to work on Saturday/Sunday. The only thing I am worried about is cranking the landing gear. I can not rip the incision point in my groin. If I do I will bleed to death right there on the spot. Fun fun fun.. Whatever I do I am not going to harm myself!!

:smt071:smt072 I am at it again with TransAm. Here in Los Angeles, sent in my 009 empty call, got the dispatch info for my next run. Total miles on route solution 1,290+ , total paid miles, only 1,070. :banghead:

I requested an adjustment for the 200+ miles I would not be paid. DM explained longer route was due to TransAm's no chain policy. I had to explain my "I do not work for free policy". Long story short, after refusing the load (a no-no for a company driver). The mileage was adjusted and I will be paid what is fair.

At the time this was going on, GPS had me lost in one of the notoriously worst neighborhoods in the USA (Compton), dodging ghettomobiles on side streets not made for big trucks. This job comes with headaches built in, fighting to be paid for miles assigned and required to drive should not be one of them. :biggrin_2557:

EMCHIEF, many wishes for a speedy recovery! Follow your own instincts on going back to work. I don't usually tell anyone this because it has been many many years ago .....but I have had heart surgery twice. They have made many medical advances since the last time I had surgery and I am sure you are in good hands. Take it easy, rest, regain your strength, don't try to do too much too soon. When you do get back on the road if you are still uncomfortable about cranking on the landing gear ask someone for assistance....lots of people out there that will gladly help a fellow driver.

Sounds like youre having a blast Passport! The run I just got swapped off of would have had an extra 150 paid miles that TransAm wouldnt adjust. Another driver got the same load I did and also complained about it, bt they wouldnt adjust it for him either. I told them I wasnt happy about it, but I took it anyway because I dont feel like being a butthole this week. And now its not my problem anymore and Im happy. I just kinda wish I had a couple more pillows and more of my stuff. Im in survival mode with one pillow, two sheets and a couple changes of clothes. Couldnt pack much more on the plane trip.

Well I get to miss the coaching class after being told no problem at making it to the yard. Now sitting in Dodge City waiting on a load to get to the yard tomorrow so I can 1 on 1 the class with Darren so I am suppose to coach, now I don't know about that either but we will see.

My windshield wipers croke the motor works but they wont move. Yeah makes traveling in this weather so much more fun

Jaso, unless they changed things in the last couple months, its not even an actual class. Its just signing some paperwork. Youre not missing out on anything special. I was supposed to be on the yard tomorrow too to turn this truck in, but I will have it through the weekend now. Assumng I will be n Olathe on Monday, but I am in no hurry to get my own truck back.

I am a fickle female. I know this and am ok with that. But my husband and I have also spent a couple months discussing breaking my lease and purchasing a 660 from one of several locations, so this isnt totally off the grid. I do love my 680, I dont love the problems that have been stacking up and cant seem to get fixed right the first, second, or even third time. I just roll with life and see where it takes me.

    kirk and jaso36 Thank this.
