I don't think CR England will take a convicted felon unless it's years and years old. They rejected my application because of a 4 year old misdemeanor battery case

If you have hit rock bottom and decide to go to CRE just use them to get your CDL and get out. You are just a disposable piece of equipment to them. I tried being loyal to them for 4.5 years and they do not want veteran drivers.
My phase 1 trainer back when I started with them in 2008 quit working for them after 15 years because they turned their back on him. Also my phase 2 trainer who was with them quit also after 5 years of loyal service because England just doesn't care. Plain and simple.drvrtech77, Shaggy, NavigatorWife and 1 other person Thank this. -
That is worse than the topic question!! NO!! To both.

No sir...still wouldn't be a good idea.teqntexas Thanks this.

How often do they change the oil in their 150 year old trucks. I would guess when the french fries start tasting weird.

Well to be real with you thats where most of the ppl go wrong. everyone thats is talking #### seem to have gotten stuck in the leasing program. just starting out as a driver leasing a truck would have to be the dumbest thing you could do. I myself do not work for the company and i have been driving for 2 years. im thinking about going with CR England. Now my questions is do they get you home when you ask. how much "dead heading" do drivers go through. do the drivers find them self making $500 or more a week. so if someone thats a driver or a old driver could answer those question that would be great. and my tip for ppl ....STOP LEASING TRUCKS.....
Shaggy Thanks this. -
Smooth, why after 2 years in the biz would you ever consider going with CRE?
After nearly 3 years with Swift, I would never even consider switching to them.
I pass most of them, even being at 62.
And those that pass me are all over the road, barely staying in a lane.
They are some of the worst drivers I have ever seen.
Swift usually gets me home when I request, although sometimes it is difficult.
And deadheading still pays the same as loaded or mt, as a company driver. So I have no problem with it.
I seldom make less than $500 per week - gross. But after child support(s), health insurance, taxes... well, yes, sometimes. -
The reason I asked this question is because I live in Chicago. I see a lot of CR England day cab trucks. Those guys are company drivers & the one I talked to seemed happy. There was a driver on here who works for CRE who delivers to Wal-Marts in southern Illinois. He said he was making money & home I think daily or weekend.
No matter what we tell people about CR England....people still sign up because of the fact that they offer to help people obtain their CDL. If we can't stop them from going to CRE then lets find out from people who worked there how to succeed there besides not doing the lease.
Do they have specific dedicated accounts that get drivers miles ? -
If you need a good refresher course because you ha e been out of the industry and you're del has expired, I would recommend them for getting back into the industry yes, they have a separate co. That gives you a crash course on the latest changes and all you have to do is drive for them 6 no. If your a vet 9 months if not. I say that's a bargain. Solo pays 33cpm and teams 16.5 CPM I get avg 2000 mi. WK it is mostly a reefer company but I know intermodal does really well also. All these companies are pretty much the same anyhow. With reefers you will sit more that's for sure.
