Can DOT officers bother you at a truck stop?

I think the reason we have so little freedom left is what you people call law is written against the constitution against us to exploit us "we the people" and no one complains you just obey and they keep pushing more "laws". California passed 7000 of them a few years back in just 1 year. The republic was suppose to be setup so we can't be regulated like that, but now we are just stupid regulated drones and we all obey.

 

I've already had a DOT officer (while sitting around and shooting the bull)tell me that doesn't do squat. The main job of the US Marshall is to round up fugitives, serve federal warrants, and act as the enforcement arm of the federal courts. That idea of a marshal rescuing drivers from the DOT is total ########. Ask scale master or diesel bear, I'm sure they would tell you the same thing.

 

I know this, this statement was for all the drivers who have claimed to call them……. (tongue in cheek)

 

No i wasn't implying that LOL, I was j/k hence the smiley face…..

 

Maybe its just me but if they ever wake me up I tell them come back at whatever time when break is up. And go back to bed. It they want to talk they will wait. Of course if they wait I am sure they will find reason to search and give hope they give me a reach around while screwing us. Dot rules. I don't like dea nor homeland security. Let them get real jobs. Just an opinion.

 

Saw em doing it once at the TA in Troutsville, VA. One was patrolling the parking lot looking for his next victim and 2 more were inside waiting.

 

Go inside and buy some eggs and a ski mask. use cash.

 

So if I had some drinks then got in my truck, four hours later DOT wakes me from my bunk and wants to do a level one.... The second I put the key in the ignition I am DUI and performing safety sensitive functions while under the influence. Tell 'em to f off! Im on MY TIME!

 

How about the S.W.A.T. team?
