Allan M, that is a nice setup and I am leaning toward Ipad as the Ipad/Iphone Drivers Daily Log seems to be decent enough for my logbook software (although I do prefer the Eclipse version). How did you mount the Ipad to the dash? I am in a Century though, so no blank space like that on the dash.

I dismantled a leather iPad/keyboard case by removing the threads that the middle leaf was sewn in with and then just loosened the mounting screws on the dash panel and folded over the excess material behind that panel and tightened the screws again.

So that is Android, right? And what about the GPS receiver? It is built-in? How is GPS signal when using CoPilot on that device?

Scanning. I don't scan much anymore - I just take a picture. It is way quicker. I just did hundreds of receipts and can't believe the time it saved. Plus, you can set up your phone to automatically dump your pictures into a cloud folder - nothing ever gets lost.

For those of you looking for a tablet or laptop/netbook with a full windows operating system (to run Eclipse e-books etc), I may have found my choice in the Asus Transformer T100. Less than $400 and includes a detachable keyboard. More info here:

JohhnyC - I see your in Va Beach area. Do you run Intermodal out of Norfolk by chance? I am going to begin doing so I believe and would like to talk to someone who currently operates out of there. PM me if you would like. Thanks!

built in gps and it ROCKS. android. copilot does seem to have a twitch about battery getting low. but that's a rare occasion.

i started with an acer. but apparently them things are garbage. gps only lasted a week. and took 15 minutes to function.
