Does anyone know about this company? They don't have a site. They must be a smaller company. But they are located in Glendale which is about half hour north of Grants Pass on I-5. They are in the paper,(yes, I know Tip) will take grads and allow pets but beyond that I have no idea about them.

Has anyone driven or done business with them?

I am a prior driver for this company. I worked for them for four years and would not hesitate to recomend them to anyone. They are a small family owned business and run or,wa and ca. with some runs to nv and az. they pay on time, their checks are good and I never had a problem getting time off with advance notice or even short notice. but you will get tired of running I-5. If this is not a problem, give them a call. Tell the Wade sent ya!!! Lots of luck in the future

Do you know what their requirements are? I've been driving for Swift now for about 2 months, but I'd love to be more local and be able to bring the dog, and running I-5 would be great. I looked for a website, but google just landed me back at this thread. I live just south of Glendale on I-5 so this is ideal.

Edit: They DO have a website. Heaven forbid I tell anyone else about it, though.

Get their number from the paper and call Hank. they have a 800 number, The had about 120 trucks when I left. they are getting newer ones but their trucks are well maintained. they do everything except warrenty work in their shop. the people are nice and you can walk in and tap Big andy on the shoulder in person if you have a problem. I just got tired of running I-5 three times a week.Good luck and tell them "skip" said HI!!!!!:biggrin_2559:

I work for them, 3 months now. If you have prior experience or graduated from a good trucking school, they will pick you up, train you for two to four weeks, then have you drive relief runs up north. I signed up to be a " line driver", still waiting for my truck, so doing relief and not getting good miles. Drop and Hook is rare, as are 2000 mile weeks. You have to be employed 3 months with them before you can bring a pet or family member, and be eligible for insurance. Over all, they tell me it's a very good company, the only thing I have to compare it to is Schneider, that I left after 3 weeks.

They are a good company, family owned, small and stable. The best type of place to work IMO. Have you spent any time at Camp Miller yet?

I worked for A&M for 12 yrs. not there any longer. Good equipment, mostly good people. Hank is retired and Joe Moody is the "safety and HR guy" now. Had a great relationship with this company until Pat the Little Brat started dispatching. He is the son of one of the co-owners and has his own little ideas about running drivers. Good luck.

I know they haul out of Weyerhaeuser in Longview,WA all the time, assuming it's paper products.
I see them there just about every day, looks like they drive decent equipment.

We hauled a lot of loads out of Norpac in Longview, Caraustar in Tacoma, scrap paper out of every little hole you could imagine from Seattle to Portland. Most of the scrap goes to GP Toledo, we would drop these loads in the Philomath yard for the day cabs to shuttle across Hwy 20 and they would bring the outbound loads to Philomath, drop & hook for us. A&M is buying new 48' trailers again so would expect the line drivers to be crossing 20 again, there is no length restriction when dragging a 48'. Before anyone starts telling me that the length restrictions still apply, you are wrong, been dragging a 48' reefer across with a long nose Pete for last 2 yrs. and yes I've crossed the scales many times with this combo, no problem.
