Howdy. I am a licends recently graduated trucking school driver from the north east with some questions.
First off:
What is the orientation process and training process for already licends drivers. How long would I be on the road with a trainer and will roehl try to team me with a driver that lives near me for weekly home time?
Secound:
What is the weekly pay for training while on the road with a trainer?
And Third:
Do the bunk you in the hotel during orientation or do they give you your own room?
Thanks.

Training: Phase I is one week with instructors at/around the local yard. You will stay in the hotel during that time and can expect to have a roommate. Phase II is approx 2 weeks OTR with a trainer. You will get $90 a day as long as you get 300 miles and 6 hours on duty that day. After that you go back to the terminal and test out/get your truck assignment.
technoroom and Lux Prometheus Thank this. -
Does this apply only to recent trucking school graduates, or does this apply to utter n00bs in their own school as well?Last edited: Nov 28, 2013

I'm not sure as I didn't go through their school. Sorry.

If you go to their school, you get Phase I as part of the schooling. (No roommate, as you are paying your own hotel. If you're a recent grad from some other school, then Roehl pays for your hotel and you have a roommate.) Phase II and III is the same no matter whether you went to their school or an outside school.

Mikey, I must've been sleeping or brain dead when I read this the first time... Excellent info, thanks!
