Hi I am quite over weight and am interested in losing weight not sure the best way to go about this being otr in a truck I know there are some healthy choices out there but not many. I don't have the things in my truck to cook while out or a cooler so buying things and refridgerating them out the questions and suggestions would be appreciated I know it will be a lot of big changes and a new way of life to make this work starting with my tmnt dew addiction lol

Axe the soda and start eating fruit and vegi's. Ditch the subs and start eating salads. I'm in the same boat as far as weight goes. I bought a measuring cup and actually measure my proportions. I make a foot long sub last two meals. I try to consume more water than soda. Some healthy tips I try; put mustard on rather than mayo on burgers and subs. I try to avoid creamy dressings and go balsamic vinegar and Italian dressing. Also try eating healthy choice meals. Hope this helps.
Rocks Thanks this. -
try to eat more fruits and veggies things that don't have to be refrigerated such as apples, bananas, oranges ect. try subbing some of these in for a meal instead of a double cheese burger
hope this helps. The Challenger Thanks this. -
Yes this helpful already thought about fruit and I know I would need to intake more water since I basically don't drink any at all but do drinks lots of sports drinks such as powerade and Gatorade I don't really eat nothing but mustard on sandwiches I wouldn't really mind eating salads but I've never been able to find a dressing I enjoy so if I eat one it never has dressing on it so it's dry which discourages me drone eating them feel like a rabbit lol

The first thing you can do get more exercise. Walk around the parking lot once or twice a night, don't just sit in the truck.

I figure it took only a month to pay for the difference between eating in the truckstop and buying a plug in 12 volt cooler
a microwave and a inverter
loves has sale going no on 1500 watt microwaves
I buy most of my food at aldis much cheaper then walmartThe Challenger Thanks this. -

Actually, don't drink diet sodas. See if you can ween yourself off sodas altogether. Sodas (even diet) play hell on your kidneys and pancreas. They aren't worth the damage they do. Go for good ol' water whenever you can. You'll find some of your cravings may go away as you get your body off soda dependency.

Watch the movie 'Fat Sick and Nearly Dead.' If the link doesn't work, you can probably still find it for free on YouTube or Netflix. There is a Knight trucker in the film who loses a ton of weight following Joe Cross' program. He is able to do it on the road, too. Even if you decide to do something different from what is described in the film, you'll still come away with a better understanding of how food, fat and additives work on the body. My ex lost a lot of weight doing this program and I use it to detox.
Watching the movie, at 51:00, you'll see Phil Staple's story.Last edited: Nov 29, 2013
