i would keep the ones you have. Snow tired have more rolling resistance and thus worse mpg. The amount of time you will drive in snow is quite small compared tot he time your driving on dry road. NJ does a decent job clearing the highways. I drive an 18 wheeler (well 10 wheeler since i have supper singles) and i never change my tires for winter. Only problem i have had is a little spin going UP real steep grades with about 1 inch of snow. Deeper im fine. I just poped on my power divider and keep the rpms down and was fine. Do you have 4 wheel drive?

Yes I do have 4WD i'm afraid if I needed to go up on a High bridge in NJ or Delaware with poor traction i might have a problem doing that and i might go backwards without control

You can all the traction in the world - deep lug tread, chains, power divider, all wheel drive, etc etc ........ It's the pin heads trying to pass you that DON'T ..... and plow into the side of you that are the worry. I've been fortunate in car haul to have always had good traction .... I consider good traction just what you need to get off the road in one piece to wait out the weather

Might do that with snow tires too. Like already mentioned, better to wait out the worst of the weather.
