A study (by me) has found that the number of truck drivers in Alberta who are genuine imbeciles has surpassed 50%. Villages around the world are missing their idiots. They are in Alberta driving trucks. Congratulations Alberta. However, judging from the record number of Alberta truck crashes last week, hiring imbeciles is not really paying off.
Highlights of Alberta Imbecile Truck Drivers:
1. Tailgating everything, including school buses, even on bare ice.
2. Speeding, no matter what the conditions.
3. Pulling in too close after passing, even on divided highways.
4. An attitude the size of a small planet but no brain to match.
This list could go on and on. Last week I had a 20 foot wide load pass me at 120 km/h, at 1 am (ie pitch black), no pilot car. The pilot car had stopped for coffee. None of that is legal anyway. That's Alberta imbeciles for ya. Perhaps it's time to pay above-imbecile wages to get some drivers with more than one functioning brain cell.

It's not the pay, a majority of these idiots are making top dollar but the companies put the screws to these guys for production and these imbeciles keep doing it. You know how many wide, oversize loads I see running after the dot's are at home having supper.. Everyday I see it. Money talks. Majority of these drivers are good experienced well payed drivers who don't wanna be replaced. So it will continue. There will always be someone paid well to break the rules. I think 50% is low balling it.

Probably hasn't occurred to the OP that the so-called imbeciles are very likely fake Albertans. Too many out of province drivers taking all our jobs.

Length wise. I have to double check. Either over 128 or 138 feet before a pilot is required.
