How bad do manifold leaks have to be on Acert to effect economy; ported manifolds ??

    I just called the Cat shop to see how things were going with putting the new Full Tilt manifold on. All the gaskets were broken and curling in the head. 3 ports were leaking. I hope it will act different. Can't believe other shops said "na that's nothing"

    Been running the new manifold with all gaskets replaced etc. and absolutely no difference in performance or mpg. Caught the sleeves in time is the only good that came out of it. Now I see on here that Bullydog sells gaskets with out the sleeves and could have did that. Ugh

    If someone does one of those manifolds they should have them done in the raw metal then let Advanced Plating in TN do their black coating on it. Their black coating retains heat up to 1700 degrees. Will be pricey with the manifold and then the coating but it'll last!

    Yes you could have eliminated that problem and gained ruffly 30 crank horsepower
