Jeff is a grandson of Don Sr, and a nephew of Don Jr.---Jeff is currently the Owner/CEO of Voyager Express. His father, who's name escapes me at the moment, owned Digby Truck lines of Nashville,TN--most people called them 'the green Digby'. Green Digby sold out to Western Express. According to most people I have known that have worked for Jeff--he is one of the nicest people you could know--unlike most of the family.
Navajo Express has just abandoned this trainee in a tiny town 1500 miles from home!

I have to confess I don't completely agree with the statement that you never leave somebody in the middle of nowhere. Some people have the ability to completely get on your nerves, and when you're driving such a big vehicle I can understand that becoming a safety issue. It's not safe to be in the middle of a screaming argument while driving a truck. So I can definitely see myself stopping the vehicle, calling the cops and telling them I want her OUT of MY truck, NOW! But NOTHING excuses the company not coming to the rescue to take that somebody home safe. It is common sense, and it's their responsibility, or at least it should be.
On another note.... You're an attorney and you where seriously considering getting a ride with a guy who was advertising in Craigslist for a female who needs a ride, and is saying he sleeps in the nude and you need to shut up while I'm on the phone with my wife? I really hope that part was a joke to see if we were awake, otherwise it kind of doesn't add up.Longbow_trucker09 Thanks this. -
JustPj Thanks this.

Is Navajo based in Denver?
-
Gitana, I agree. But even if JustPj were the trainee-from-Hell, and I don't think she is, Navajo has dropped the ball and JustPj has galvanized a few of us here to take some action, offers of help, facebook messages, emails to Safety, phone messages to Maureen, emails to Truckload Carriers Association. (Anyone do Twitter??)
THAT's priceless.
Could it be all wrong?? Sure. What matters to me is the gallantry of an effort to right a perceived wrong rather than just twiddle thumbs and sigh, "Oh, my!"Gitana, JustPj and Lux Prometheus Thank this. -

I'm very familiar with the Englands along with the Knights.
Anyways back to subject: I think Monday is when we will know something for sure.
KHJustPj Thanks this. -
This situation may be of interest to the Denver media. Navajo would love that.
Lux Prometheus, JustPj, TruckDuo and 2 others Thank this. -
I spoke to George in the newsroom at the Denver Post. He would need to hear from JustPj to take next steps on this story, told me I was second caller. George said, "Are you calling about Navajo Express... "
Here's the contacts page at the Denver Post with number for newsroom and email for newsroom: http://www.denverpost.com/contactus
Told George the public does not know how shabbily trucking companies treat truck drivers, especially new truck drivers. George is interested, seemed happy that I would post this link so that JustPj could call...
Balls in your court, JustPj.
/xls, you can PM her. The link's above and George is at the newsroom now. He'd like to hear from her.xlsdraw, zincman, Lux Prometheus and 4 others Thank this.
