If you will reread my post I said a Complete strike which includes the mega carriers which I know would never happen. Peaceful stop work practices work. Striking would not embarrass anyone but bring the attention or put the light on as you called it, which is so desperately needed. Until there is a unified, organized movement the general public could careless what your work conditions are as long as that jug of milk is in the fridge and there is coffee in the grinder at the local starbucks. We live in a instant gratification society now, slow or stop that process and you get lots of attention real fast. I still don't get how a strike would embarrass us,I'm very proud of what I did and do for a living. I conducted myself as a professional my whole trucking career,my record would bear that out. I still have carriers calling me asking me to work for them. What's embarrassing is walking into a truck stop and seeing a steering wheel holder that hasn't washed his ### for a week or changed his clothes and he can't put a complete sentence together for the life of him and yes I have lived on the road for months at a time I know how it works

You're still in Cle Elum, population 1890 (up from 1872, 2010 Census), 500 households? Along the Yakima River, I-90? Calls itself 'Heart of the Cascades'? Named after an Indian word for Swift Water?

Usually called 'Vic' or 'Victor'--Mr. V reminds too much of a troll that used to stalk my posts on another thread. Yeah, we have those.

If still there, an hour and half from Seattle, makes this also a Washington State story and another bunch of media outlets and newspapers to contact.

So what's your 20, Pj? And what do you think your 20 is tomorrow? (Please update ETA/PTA) : 0)

/Broncos?? Very funny. I'm a sports zero. If the Broncos were on, I'd be listening to the Sunday talk on C-Span radio, like now.

Yep, the very same, Victor V. Named after the Navajo word for Drop Her Off, Drive Away Swiftly. The worst part today is no Broncos telecast. This is just cruel...

Hi, PattyJ! I'm doing okay! (no, I'm not going to start rhyming again) I'm currently waiting to hear back from Jan, Tacomo lady who's offered a ride. It was a go as of last night.

All things considered, I'm pretty happy! The response has been overwhelming, and I'm so proud of you all!

And I am prepared to take things as far as they need to go. I shouldn't have to be stressing about whether or not this ride might fall through.

Navajo, if you're listening, I want a cab to the Seattle airport and a ticket Home! Don't forget my extra baggage fees. Oh, and First Class would be a nice touch. It's now the least of what I'm going to ask from you. Don't delay, check-out is 11 a.m.

    Sincerely,
    JustPj

(What do you think? Too much?)

Recovery drivers are called TEAMS!!! :yes2557:

:biggrin_25520:You want an arguement? :biggrin_25517: Let's argue about something like............. What is for dinner! No I don't like that, No we had that last time we had that? Ready? i will await your response!

Yes we are fed up but it isn't going to change anything, 80% of truck drivers never see anything bad about a company that they go to till they get inside and then it starts, I would certainly like to promote the investigation process so that others wouldn't have to go through what this poor lady has, I would love to see Navajo set an example of straightening up what is wrong with this but this is "the first time this has ever happened" And they will wash their hands of it and Old Man Digby will still be rolling up on his Harley and shutting it off and then talking like he loves all of his drivers and knows each one and their kids and spouses name and even the kind of dog that is at home! He doesn't give a rats butt about anyone or anything, his hamster wheel is moving so fast one falls off another one jumps on! It never stops, He is one of those old truckers who grabbed his fortune and is on another planet waiting for this one to blow up!
