ARCO has been sold for some time now. They left the name for marketing but somewhere on the truck you'll see BP. It's on the doors. Now BP has sold it's downstream operations and the drivers are waiting to see. It's never good to change companys unless the one you're at is already hosed up.
I found that truck and trailers are easy to back up. Just don't over or under steer. You'll also find that a truck and trailer set-up is much easier to get into and out of tight places. Watch sometime and see how close the trailer tracks to the truck when turning. Plus you have no fifth wheel to worry about. I'll take that set-up anytime. Especially when our trucks were considered super tankers at 85 feet with 12450 gallons on board. Still much easier than a semi.

Oh I agree! Whenever I hop back into a semi I'm amazed how easy it was to get around on the truck and trailer setup. I love how they cheat and squeeze into tight spots. However, I'm still having a heck of a time backing them up -
Thank you everybody for advice. By no overtime do u mean just working 40 hrs or no time and a half?

Most are straight 12 hour shifts. No time and a half. Williams does this but they are still a respectable outfit here out west. You could also look into KAG and pilot- I know they are out there. As far as the other small outfits like mine, you just need to come out and write down names when your along the highway or camp out at a few racks and get company names. Like GasHauler said you'll probably be in a super tanker which is a bit larger than the California truck and trailer setup. Once you drive them you'll love it! Way easier than a semi squeezing into stations but backing them up takes practice.
