it's not a fact, it's not a matter of time until you have an accident. you are in control of the vehicle and it's spacing. You should be trying to minimize your risk every time you drive by being aware of your surroundings, not thinking, well it's gonna happen some time. Scan your traffic, pay attention while your driving, expect the others drivers to do the stupidest possible thing and back off at appropriate times and let the crazies do what they're going to do.

    Joetro and DsquareD Thank this.

    Talk about Doomsday thinking!

There is no way anyone can guarantee that every driver will, at some point in time, be involved in an accident! The "odds" of something happening remain constant, everyday, every hour, every minute of the day. There are thousands, maybe millions of drivers (both professional CDL, and 4 wheeler) that have never had an accident...even so far as to never having had a ticket for any infraction. My wife has been driving for 40 years, no tickets, no accidents....me on the other hand...my only accident was unavoidable by my skills...suicide by big truck!
