Newbie here needing some advice for trucking companies.
I live in the Atlanta Ga area, graduated trucking school this year, I've got 4 months OTR experiance with 40k miles, Double/tankers cert. My DAC report has 1 ding on it (my first week driving I did a dummy in a truck stop and cracked a guys headlight).
Im not too picky about the types of runs, i'll do OTR or local. Course, would be sweet to be home on the weekends.
Any suggestions guys?
Recomendations for a good company: 4 months OTR exp

I run for TMC and home every weekend. Been here over a year so far and no major complaints yet. Pretty good pay package for a big company. There are a lot good starter companies put three so keep ur options open and find what works best for you. Good luck

where do you live?

What are the issues that you are having with your current carrier??? No point in leaving one carrier and ending up with the same problems at the next carrier.

if you're looking for local just look in your area like any other job

they're out there just gotta find them, of course that one 'ding' and only 4 months is gonna limit you like crazyTonythetruckerdude Thanks this. -
living in the atlanta area you should have no problems finding local or regional. I would look at flatbed for regional jobs they will have the best offer. In your area there are lots to choose from all very good at what they do, you just have to decide which one you like best. Decker ( yes I work there ) TMC, Boyd Brothers, Maverick and a few others are all good companies that should be able to help you, good luck.

Shadow you're still a newbie till you reach the 1 yr mark. You'll probably have to continue with starter companies till you gain more exp then 4 months.

Don't start job hopping , looking for that "good company" Stay with your current carrier , since you "are " working keep your nose clean get a year or 2 of service with them ..then you'll be in a position to pick and choose from much better home time friendly carriers....going from carrier to carrier is a real job killer for any profession.
blairandgretchen, Moon_beam, luvtotruck and 2 others Thank this. -
I wouldnt be job hopping if i had a choice. I had a major dispute with my dispatcher that ended poorly for me. My fault, should have known better.
